TNC preserve with pastures on ridges and older oak beech forests in ravines.;Upper slope near hill top above sandstone ledges and steep ravine. Forest is probably 2nd growth post settlement but large trees are widely spaced and there is high age class diversity. White oak dominates the canopy with beech and red oak less abundant. Subcanopy includes red maple, sourwood and gum. Shrub layer has sparse blueberries, unusual forested ridgetop, most in area are in pastures.
